Programme Objectives

This Professional Certificate will equip learners with the following competencies:

• Understand the end-to-end workflow and the best practice for data analytics projects
• Perform basic and intermediate-level analysis to gain insights into the data
• Create basic and advanced visualisations and be able to communicate effectively with data visualisations
• Apply advanced building techniques and calculations by using formulas and functions to create impactful analysis with visualisations 

It will prepare learners in the following job roles to perform their responsibilities more effectively:

• Data Analyst
• Data Scientist

Courses

Note: You are required to attend and complete the “Begins With Me” series before you can attend “Continues With Me” series: 

1. Data Analytics Begins With Me (Faculty of Science, 1 day)
2. Data Visualization Begins With Me (Faculty of Science, 1 day)*
3. Data Analytics Continues With Me (Faculty of Science, 2 days)
4. Data Visualization Continues With Me (Faculty of Science, 2 days)*

*Please attend the same software tool which you have attended for Data Visualization Begins with Me. Example: If you have attended Tableau software for Data Visualization Begins with Me, you will need to attend Tableau software for Data Visualization Continues With Me.

The Professional Certificate was designed to meet the needs of:

• Learners seeking to equip themselves with highly in demand data analytics and data visualisation skills.
• Industry seeking to train their employees in data analytics and data visualisation skills. 

Candidature Duration

All four short courses to be completed within 12 months from the first class start date.

Award of Professional Certificate

Upon fulfilling the requirements of the modules listed, submit your individual course certificates to fos.shortcourses@nus.edu.sg to request for your NUS Professional Certificate in Data Analytics and Data Visualization.
